The Tenant Representative Council

The TRC heads the formal structure. This is not to be confused with the CCHA Board of Management, which includes five tenants elected by CCHA’s annual general meeting, although tenant-members of the TRC can be members of CCHA's Board - indeed we welcome this.

The purpose of the TRC is to formulate and communicate to CCHA the shared views of representative tenants’ organisations regarding housing services, community issues, and the implementation of tenant participation.

They are invited to comment directly to the CCHA Board of Management on all relevant Board papers, and have editorial control of the CHAT Newsletter.

Its members are representatives of:

  • Recognised tenants’ associations.
  • Areas for which there is not recognised tenants’ association.

Representatives of focus groups and recognised tenants’ groups can attend meetings and participate in discussions but cannot vote.

TRC meetings take place regularly. Our Chief Executive, Directors and Managers also attend the meetings as appropriate to the subjects to be discussed.
