Emergency Repairs

You may need an emergency repair outside office hours, such as during weekends or in a holiday period. We operate a 24-hour emergency repair service that you can contact by calling: (01633) 214222. Then:

• Give your name and address and tell the telephonist that you are a CCHA tenant.
• Explain the problem clearly and in as much detail as possible.

On taking your call, the telephonist will, if necessary, report your repair to the appropriate contractor, who will then call at your home.

Please bear in mind the following points before requesting an emergency callout:

• You should use this number for all repair emergencies, including fire alarm repairs, lift repairs, release of people trapped in lifts.
• You should only use this service in an emergency. If you make any unreasonable use of the service, you will have to pay for the call-out and repair.
• You should only report emergency repairs by telephoning the above number. If you contact a contractor directly and arrange for a repair, we will not accept responsibility for the eventual bill and you will have to pay it yourself .
