Eid Celebrations an Outstanding Achievment
Over 170 attend the Adamsdown Event!
|
Eid Ul-Fitr often abbreviated as 'Eid' is a Muslim Holiday to mark the end of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting. Ramadan is intended to teach the muslim patience, modesty and spirituality. Eid is an Arabic word meaning ‘Festivity’ which was certainly the case on Saturday 26th September. Members of the Muslim community came together to celebrate the break of fast. |

CCHA and Communities First in Adamsdown worked as a partnership to deliver the celebrations. This year they were once again held in St Germans Hall in Adamsdown and was attended by more than 170 people - at least 50 more than last year!! |
|
Everyone enjoyed activities including face painting, arts and crafts, badge making, circus skills, bouncy castle and Henna art. Plenty of food was supplied as a well deserved treat for all those who fasted during Ramadan. |

We hope that all who attended had a fantastic time and wish them all the best for the coming year!

Make you TV Licence easier to pay
Cardiff Community Housing Association has teamed up with TV Licensing to advise residents how they can spread the cost of their TV licence.
In the current economic climate some people may struggle to pay for their licence all in one go.

A new cash payment scheme means that you can make small weekly or fortnightly payments towards the cost of their licence. You can also check their balance and change their details online at www.tvlicensing.co.uk/cashplans or by text message. Transactions are quick and simple, making it more straightforward for cash schemes customers to manage their payments. Customers can still choose to pay over the counter or by phone – an automated service is available 24 hours a day. TV Licensing would always prefer people to buy a licence rather than risk prosecution and a fine, which is why we offer a range of ways to pay. |
You can also spread the cost using monthly or quarterly Direct Debit, which can be set up online, by debit or credit card over the phone or online, over the counter at any PayPoint outlet or by putting a cheque in the post.
Remember, if you are over 75, or are living with someone who is over 75, the licence is free.
If you would like help finding the payment method that’s best for you please visit www.tvlicensing.co.uk/info or call us on 0844 800 6732.
