Bite-Size Corporate Plan Published

If you want to know about our plans for the next three years, but haven’t got time to digest our Corporate Plan 2006-2009, you might find ‘What on Earth are they Doing?’ useful. Basically it’s a summary of our key objectives and plans taken from the Corporate Plan. We initially prepared it just for our tenants and leaseholders; it’s a good introduction to our Corporate Plan – and a quicker read! We hope you find it helpful and informative.

If you have any comments on our Corporate Plan, we’d like to hear from you. You can contact us in writing, by telephone or by E-mail.

If you want more information on how we’ve tried to improve in 2006 or how we’ve performed over the year, then this is the report is for you.

Wales Audit Office Inspection – Report Set For January Publication

We are now expecting the publication of our Wales Audit Office (WAO) Inspection Report on their Website (www.wao.gov.uk) in late January 2007.

Readers of this site, or CHAT, our tenants’ newsletter, will know that CCHA was the subject of an inspection by the WAO during two weeks in January 2006. The Inspection, which covered every aspect of our housing, maintenance and community development services, was completed on the 1st February 2006.

So, we apologies for the continuing delay, but we are confident that the end, at least in terms of publication, is in sight. Through CHAT and this website, we’ll keep you up to date with developments.

And Finallly… CCHA’s Christmas Card Donation Raises £276

CCHA did not send Christmas cards again this year; as we have now done for several years we decided to make a donation to a housing-related charity.

As in previous years many of our staff chose not to send cards to each other – instead they made donations to our nominated charities. CCHA then matched what our team collected.

As a result we raised a total of £276 for our chosen charities; they are the Neo-Natal Unit, Heath Hospital, Cardiff (in recognition of the excellent service that two of our colleagues received from the Hospital in the last year) and Shelter Cymru(Shelter is 40 years old this year).

We’ll split the donation 50/50.
