They may also include people who are starting again following a change in personal circumstances or returning to home ownership after a gap.”

Kevin Protheroe, Chief Executive, said that CCHA sees its role expanding to address the needs of local people facing the consequences of more than a decade of price rises. “We are focused on housing need and providing homes for a broad range of people with different needs and in different circumstances, which is why we are offering homes for sale to people trying to get onto the property ladder.”

Sanquahar Street Development Starting Soon

New Apartment Development Continues 30-Year Commitment To Working In Splott

We’re delighted to announce that work will be starting shortly on 40 new apartments for rent at Sanquahar Street in Splott. The five-storey development is on the site of the former ‘Railway Club’ and is being developed with the support of Cardiff County Council and the Welsh Assembly Government.

The £4 million scheme is made up of:

• 9 two bedroom apartments

All the apartments will have high-quality fitted kitchens and bathrooms and meet all the Assembly’s required space and amenity standards.

CCHA already owns several hundred properties in Splott, so it’s great to be providing new homes again in one of the Association’s traditional communities – our last major scheme in Splott was Moorland Road apartments, which were completed in 2004.
