CCHA’s Aims

  • To let our properties to those in housing need.
  • To provide good quality rented accommodation at rents people can afford.
  • To contribute to the process of community development and the enhancement of social inclusion.
  • For our tenants to live in vibrant, successful communities. ‘Community Living’ is an integral plan of our inclusive approach to letting. Communities are places where people should want to live, where people should choose to live, where people should live together peacefully, irrespective of issues such as race. We want our tenants to live in homes which are part, not set apart, from their communities and we believe our Community Living approach to letting can help to achieve this aim.

We are committed to a policy of equal opportunity and abide by the provisions of the Race Relations Code of practice in Rented Housing. Prospective tenants should be aware that CCHA’s tenancy agreement requires tenants not to commit any form of harassment on the grounds of race, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation or disability.
