CCHA’s HR Team has been shortlisted for a prestigious 2019 Welsh HR Award, which recognises and celebrates the achievements of HR professionals across Wales.
The HR Team has been shortlisted in the “Best HR Initiative” category for its “Working in Partnership with Tenants” initiative. The Award aims to recognise organisations who are dedicated to improving the workforce and their business environment. The judges were looking for teams who have gone above and beyond to deliver a strategy which includes diversity and inclusion, as well as CSR, Health and Wellbeing.
CCHA’s “Working in Partnership with Tenants” initiative demonstrated that tenants are at the heart of everything we do. The initiative has enabled HR to work in partnership with tenants by involving them wholeheartedly in the recruitment process and embracing them into the whole selection process. It has provided tenants with opportunities to develop skills and build their confidence.
The initiative has also enabled the organisation to ensure we recruit people into our team who truly understand tenants’ needs and embrace inclusivity and diversity and the community spirit of CCHA. The impact on tenants has meant that many of them have now had the confidence to apply for jobs themselves.
The initiative has put one of our values, innovation, at the centre of the entire organisation.
CCHA is one seven organisations shortlisted for the award. Hosted by the BBC’s Sian Lloyd, the Awards recognise the best HR professionals across a variety of industries – showcasing the outstanding individuals and teams as the best in HR, learning, and people management practice across Wales in the last 12 months.
Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony at the Exchange Hotel on 22nd March.
